Description
The magilite bomb is a theoretical doomsday device utilizing the nearly limitless magical energy in solid magilite crystal, capable of wiping a whole nation off the map.
Luckily, magilite is quite stable, and nobody has thus far figured out how to elicit a nuclear chain-reaction that would release its vast energy. If such a device were ever to be constructed, it would likely spell the end of civilization.
Mechanics
The mechanics of such a device is still uncertain, as nobody knows how to trigger magilite to release its vast magical potential in an explosive manner.
That is why flarestone, a much cheaper and more volatile material, is used for conventional explosives.
In terms of magical potential / energy, 100 grams of magilite would be insufficient to end the world, but would certainly serve to produce a truly spectacularly large explosion, comparable to a nuclear blast.
If, however, one were to use one of the magilite cores of the Ancient Dragons… and one were able to release all of the energy stored within the magilite, the world would end…
Use
Would theoretically be used to erase nations from existence, or destroy the world as a final doomsday device.

A single gram of magilite has the energy equivalent of around 1 kiloton of TNT (1,000,000 kg of TNT).
