The Water God, Emperor of the Lumare Empire, Hero of the People.
Description
Calm as the surface of water, Lumare never got mad, always remaining positive and tranquil.
Lumare was a natural born leader, leading his forces with great effectiveness during the Chaos Times, eventually making his empire prosper.
He was a very emotionally sensitive man, being seen as weak by many. His magical prowess however, more than made up for what he lacked in physical strength.
Without really trying, he was much stronger than his brother Kaligo, which is a major reason for their eventual feud.
Lumare had a saintly attitude, always helping those in need, whether it be through healing, teaching, or other kind gestures. This eventually earned him the nickname, “Hero of the People“.
Lumare was legendary as a hero, a healer, a saint, and as the one true emperor of the the water empire.
After Lumare died, the water empire eventually renamed themselves the Lumare Empire in his honor. A new religion called Lumarism even formed following his death.
Backstory
Childhood
Lumare and his brother Kaligo were twins, both born with exceptional magical potential.
When they were just ten years old, he and his brother awakened their magic; both prodigies in their own right.
Prior to this, magic had all but vanished from the world, being nothing more than a folk tale, nothing more than legend.
Chaos Times
During the Chaos Times, Lumare and Kaligo protected the world from the demonic forces, driving them away from the mortal plane with the help of Eira Everfrost and the Stone of Destruction.
After defeating the demons and exterminating the rest of them from the world, Lumare went on to found an empire – the water empire.
The New Empire
As the emperor, Lumare taught his people how to use water magic. This was the re-introduction of magic into the world, and thousands more awakened their latent magical potential.
His brother Kaligo eventually grew jealous of Lumare’s success and the prosperity of his empire. The once close brothers drifted further apart.
War
Kaligo grew more and more frustrated, eventually resulting in a war against his brother’s empire. Kaligo wanted to show himself and the world that he was better.
At first, Lumare hesitated and tried to reason with his brother to get him to stop the war. When Lumare’s wife was killed by Kaligo; his calm nature broke for the first time in his life, and Kaligo faced his full torrential fury.
Kaligo’s empire of fire was decimated, almost completely destroyed by Lumare. In his blind rage, Lumare ended up killing his brother Kaligo.
After the events of the war, Lumare did not speak a word. While his empire survived, the fire empire was facing famine, disease, and the loss of hundreds of thousands of families.
Witnessing the results of his rage, Lumare spent the last of his days staring blankly into the sky, with cold dead eyes.
In a matter of three years, he grew weaker and weaker before succumbing to a rare magical illness (magic disease).
Special attributes, items
A prodigy when it came to using magic, Lumare mastered the use of water magic by the age of 14, already being classed as Upper Demon on the Threat Scale.
Near the end of his life, he even studied the Winter Dragon, and learned how to use ice magic. Unfortunately, he grew silent and died before he could teach anyone what he had learned.
After defeating Cyclops the Destroyer during the Chaos Times, Lumare used the magilite from his eye to create a magical amulet, now known as The Amulet of Lumare, which is worn by the Royal Wizards. This amulet further boosts his magical potential.
Misc information
Magic disease, the disease which took Lumare’s life, usually kills the host in a matter of day, but because of Lumare’s immense magical potential, he survived for three whole years.
