The elite royal guard of the Lumare Empire army; hardened warriors with adamantite-steel armor, tasked with protecting the emperor himself.

Average threat scale: Upper Troll
Description
Highly trained and hardened expert fighters, who have passed the grueling tests required to be enlisted into the Titan Guard.
The Titan Guard’s main objective is to protect the emperor as well as other important figures, but occasionally they go on missions to rescue high profile hostages.
They boast exceptional combat skills, as good as the Elite Soldiers of each legion. On top of that, they wear adamantite-steel armor and wield the most expensive weapons available.
A single Titan soldier is already a substantial threat, a whole squad is a real force to be reckoned with, even for an army.

Training
To be eligible to join the Titan Guard, you first have to prove yourself worthy. You can do so by demonstrating a considerable feat in battle. An example of such a feat would be single-handedly defeating a high level threat such as an enemy chosen warrior or combat monster.
Once you’ve proven yourself, you are eligible to enlist in the training program to become a Titan Guard warrior. Out of 20 people that enlist, only one is allowed to join the Titan Guard.
After partaking in grueling training involving literal torture as well as deadly combat against both people and monsters, the final challenge is facing off against your course companions in an all-out gladiatorial battle. The last one standing (sometimes the last one alive), is the one who is eligible of joining the Titan Guard ranks.

Because of the brutality of the training as well as the indoctrination, Titan warriors are highly stoic, seldom talking when unnecessary. A prime example of this attitude is seen with the captain of the Titan Guard, Sentinel.
Additionally, as one joins the Titan Guard, one makes a vow of anonymity; to never take off one’s helmet or armor in view of other people, a practice that is meant to protect the warriors from being recognized and targeted while off duty.
Equipment
Titan warriors wear extremely expensive blue-colored adamantite-steel armor, which gives them an unparalleled resistance to both physical and magical damage.
On top of their incredible armor, they wield the most expensive weaponry available, from steam rifles to adamantite-steel swords.
Misc
Number of units: 150
The surviving recruits whom didn’t pass to become a Titan warrior are eligible to join the next batch of recruits to attempt it once more, but they have to go through the training program all over again.
