There are three World Stones, which were each created by an unknown god long before the world itself.
The three stones all have a unique and extremely powerful ability. The Stone of Life & Time can heal any injury, bring people back to life, and distort time.
The Stone of Creation is able to create nearly anything, from monsters to entirely new dimensions, but it cannot create uncorrupted and natural life.
The Stone of Destruction is a stone of raw power, powering up the other stones and being able to disintegrate and destroy nearly anything.
All three of the stones are necessary in order to create a new world. The Stone of Creation can theoretically create a world, but is limited in power and needs a boost from the Stone of Destruction. The Stone of Life & Time is necessary to bring them together to have meaning; to create structure, to create time, and to create natural life.
Because of their inherent magical potential, the World Stones are able to change shape, vary in size, appearance etc. They do however always inhibit their distinctive color.
