Description
A chunky swamp creature that often gets mistaken for a mossy rock. The swamp beasts are relatively docile creatures that feed on the plant life and fish in the swampy marshes of the world.
Rot orcs have evolved to keep these creatures as pets, making use of them as guard dogs.
Behaviour
Despite their size and chunky-looking bodies, swamp beasts are surprisingly active, spending their time roaming the swamps, looking for fish and various aquatic roots to eat.
After they have eaten, they enter a more docile and relaxed state, where they stay extremely still, conserving energy almost like a rock. During this state, swamp beasts are often mistaken for mossy rocks. Because of this feature, rot orcs keep the creatures perpetually hungry.
Swamp beasts have very powerful neck muscles, allowing them to attack potential prey almost like a snapping turtle.
Diet
Swamp beasts are omnivores, eating various bog roots and fish.
