Description
Bluish-purple feathers to better blend in at night, night prowlers, also known as night hawks, are essentially just massive carnivorous birds, taking the ecological niche of the bear. Night prowlers are very afraid of fire, which is a big reason for travelers and traders carrying torches, as well as having a steady fire lit while camping in the forest.
Behaviour
Night prowlers lurk in the trees, looking for prey at night. A fearsome threat in the dark, but they’re easy to scare off if you have many people, a fire, or a pointy spear.
Diet
Night prowlers hunt magna deer and forest goblins that wander the forests at night, but will also go after humans if they don’t have their guard up.
