Composition of the Lumare Empire’s Army
The ranking of the Lumare Empire can roughly be boiled down to the following
The Emperor
The Emperor, currently Emperor Rasin, acts as the head of the military, making the biggest decisions when it comes to the war.
The Royal Wizard & Royal Knight
The Royal Wizard, currently Kline Snowden, as well as the Royal Knight, currently Emery Snowden, share the rank of General, making the second biggest decisions when it comes to the war. Kline however dislikes politics, and so he leaves the decisions to his cousin Emery. Kline and Emery are also the Captains of the first and second legions respectively.
Captains of the ten legions
The Captains of the ten legions are next in command after the Royal Wizard and Royal Knight. The higher up a captain is, the more authority they have. This means that the Captain of the Fifth Legion, has more authority than the Captain of the Sixth Legion.
Royals
Only the Captains are allowed to disobey what the royals have to say. The royals have tremendous political power, and so, they also have authority when it comes to making decisions in the war.
Elite Soldiers, Officers & Sergeants
The Elite Soldiers of the ten legions have as much authority as the officers and sergeants of the army, but below the Captains and royals. They are highly trained, having studied both combat and tactics.
Soldiers
The common soldier isn’t the lowest rank in the military, as they have some authority over the roughly scrambled and barely trained levy forces.
Levy Soldiers
The lowest rank in the Lumare military, the levies are composed of peasants and volunteers, and they have no authority whatsoever.
