Kaligo Empire Military Ranking

Composition of the Kaligo Empire’s Army

The ranking of the Kaligo Empire can roughly be boiled down to the following:

The Emperor / Commander of The First Flame

The Emperor of the Kaligo Empire, Cyril Quillhart, is secretly controlled by Commander of the First Flame, Qune Astra. Unable to think on his own, Cyril’s mind has been corrupted by Qune. His body is kept alive well past its expiration date through Gregor the Mad’s age stasis technique. While Cyril should on paper be the one making the biggest decisions, Qune Astra makes all of the decisions.

Gregor the Mad & Commander of the Third Flame

For some reason (possibly because they are his closest allies), Qune Astra has chosen Gregor the Mad and Commander of the Second Flame, Ishana, as next in line when it comes to authority. The mad scientist and the shapeshifter together share the same level of authority.

Commanders of the seven flames

The Seven Commanders of The Flame are next in line of authority, each commanding a substantial army. With the exception of Ishana, authority goes up the higher up as a commander that you are.

The Seven Commanders

Royals

The Kaligo Empire’s Royals are under the Commanders when it comes to authority. Even Princess Iskra Emberhart, a powerful tactician in her own right, has no authority over the Seven Commanders.

Royal Guard

The Royal Guard, directly protecting the Emperor and the most influential royals; they have a lot of authority over the army.

Chosen Warriors

The Chosen Warriors, similar to the Lumare Empire’s Elite Soldiers, are the best of the best warriors, working directly below the Commanders. They have authority over most other soldiers in the Kaligo Army, except the Commanders and the Royal Guard.

Officers

The Kaligo Empire’s Infantry officers are next in line after the Chosen Warriors. They command their soldiers based on what the Seven Commanders of Flame, royals, and Chosen Warriors say.

Infantry Soldiers

The Kaligo Empire’s infantry soldiers don’t have much authority, but are still able to command the untrained (or barely trained) levy soldiers.

Levy Soldiers

The cheap, untrained and mostly unprepared bands of levy soldiers don’t have any authority at all, being told what to do by virtually everyone in the Kaligo Army.
