Janitor and guard at East Itero Lumare Academy, Blue Moon
Description
On the outside, Alvar is just a quiet, unassuming half-elf janitor at the East Itero Lumare Academy. His true identity is that of ex Elite Warrior of the First Legion – Blue Moon, with strength rivalling that of many lower Captains.
On top of being a janitor, Alvar is also the guardian of the East Itero Lumare Academy, protecting it from any ruffians and other dangers.
As well as protecting the campus of the East Itero LA, Alvar has been specifically tasked with keeping a watchful eye on Renji Caldara, making sure he doesn’t do anything suspicious while simultaneously protecting him.
Backstory
The bastard of a royal and his elven concubine, Alvar was always seen as secondary by those around him. His father and the other royals treated him even worse than many of their elven slaves, barely giving him enough food to survive. Always fearing punishment for speaking back made him into a quiet reserved person.
Years rolled by quickly, he kept struggling to survive working as a mere slave. Eventually, his father passed. None of the royals saw him fit for anything and quickly sold him to a new owner.
His new owner was an old master of martial arts, and had him help around his dojo. Alvar was allowed to attend his new master’s classes and quickly picked up martial arts.
Right before his new master’s death, he recommend Alvar try to become an Elite Warrior, for the rights and privilege’s that it would bring him. Alvar accepted his old master’s dying wish and enlisted as an Elite Warrior.
As an Elite Warrior, he was quiet, and shy. He was always hiding his face behind a mask and covering his ears under his hood. He was afraid… Afraid of people finding out he was a half-elf, knowing he might face expulsion, or perhaps something even worse.
He became quite good at killing, learning his swordsmanship straight from Captain Lionheart, the then Captain of the Second Legion. He earned the nickname Blue Moon among the Kaligo forces, following a particularly brutal killing-spree during a clear, crescent-moon sky.
Years later, after he and his elite squad got stuck in a trap by multiple Kaligo Commanders, all but he himself were massacred. His closest comrades, his Captain, all killed in front of him. Even his mask ultimately broke while he was fleeing for his life.
Following this fateful day, Alvar became broken, not speaking for a month afterward. Eventually, he given two options… Either become the next Captain of the Second Legion, or choose the next person to do so. He chose the latter option.
He had already grown quite close with Kline and Emery Snowden over the past year by then, as he had been their martial arts trainer, but after his squad was massacred, he truly committed to training them. Kline eventually sought different masters, being more keen on magic than swordsmanship, whereas Emery trained under Alvar for three years longer.
Alvar had already made up his mind long ago, selecting Emery Snowden as the next Captain of the Second Legion. After officially selecting him as the next Captain, Alvar decided to cut a deal with Doppler and Conrad Snowden, to lay low and live a peaceful life as a humble janitor at the Lumare Academy.
While Doppler and Conrad have tried to convince him to change roles many times, Alvar has preferred the simple life, the life he had gotten used to when he was younger. He quite enjoyed cleaning, sitting in silence guarding the campus grounds… It had become his new peace…
Special attributes, items
Given his elf heritage, Alvar has very keen eyesight and hearing, far above that of a normal human. On top of that, he became quite proficient in magilite sensing, as well as magistrength enhancing while enlisted as an Elite Warrior. He even dabbled in hydrocellular reconstruction, but is still quite a novice at it.
Misc information
Alvar’s identity as the Blue Moon, is still unknown to the public, and even to the students at the Lumare Academy. Thus, most simply see him as an unassuming elven janitor.
